I finally went ahead an opened a Teachers Notebook store. I've been debating for a while whether or not I should move over to Teachers Notebook or not, but then I started noticing that a lot of people are opening TWO stores. One at Teachers Notebook & Keeping their Teachers Pay Teachers store too!
So on that bandwagon I went! Click here to head on over to my Teachers Notebook store. Right now I'm still working on getting everything at TpT uploaded to Teachers Notebook--that takes some time. Unless there's some fabulous awesome way to do it faster that I don't know about!
I'll have links to both stores on my sidebar under the "my stores" headers.
From now on I'll be uploading items to both stores! Do you have a preference for one over the other? Either has a seller or a buyer?

I post on both stores, but I like TN more. It is more teacher oriented rather than profit oriented. But I sell more on TpT because it is more well known.
I prefer the look, feel and easy use of Teacher's Notebook. I don't sell on either TN or TPT, but as a customer, I prefer Teacher's Notebook.

Is there a place for teachers to sell teacher resource books? I would love a recommendation.
I love hearing everyone's opinions! I totally agree, I like the layout and look of TN. It seems more easier to navigate and I like that it has a spot for your blog too. But Hadar, you are totally write, TpT is more well known! It's probably not a bad idea to have stores on both as TN is up and coming!
Tania- you can list shippable items on both websites, but I've never tried it!
* right! Ahh! I hate it when I do that!!
I recently started uploading my TPT products to TeachersNotebook as well. It was strange at first (getting accustomed to a different site) but both websites definitely are worth the effort, trust me Erin! You'll be glad you did. - Nyla's Crafty Teaching.
I will say after uploading 14 documents to TN, I really wish they had an image uploader to upload images from the document. I had to go back and get pictures of some documents and that was more time consuming! It's nice to be able to select the images once the document has been uploaded! I will say I DO like that more about TpT!!
I just recently opened my store on TN after having a store on TpT, and I am really having trouble figuring out how to post images of my products. Is there a good tutorial site you could recommend to help a beginner? Thanks for any help you can give.
Jeannie-- I will say that is ONE thing about TN that I don't like. You have to upload your own images. Here is how I do it..
I have a MAC so you might have to look up the different controls if you have a PC. But I start with pulling up my document that I'm listing. I take a "screenshot" (shift, command & 3 all at the same time). Then I use www.picnik.com to open that screen shot and crop it down to create my image.
There might be easier ways to do this, but I find that's what works for me. I think there is a snapshot tool in Adobe Reader that could probably do the same thing, but I love picnik.com because I can text into the photo, rotate it, whatever.
Hope that helps!
