Flip it & Match it!

I've been so busy I didn't quite know when the next time I would be blogging would be! I really can't wait to be done with my master's degree so I can dedicate more time to my blog again. When I first started by blog I was constantly planning out what to post about. I'm really hoping to get back in that groove!

I have a fun freebie to share with you this time!

Maybe you are (unfortunately) spending some time over your Thanksgiving break working on lesson plans for December. This freebie will be perfect to add in to either your centers or just a fun time filler game for those busy holiday filled days!

For this fun game students place the game cards (available in black & white, or color) face down on the table like they are playing a memory game. With a bingo dauber or fun holiday stamp, students flip over a card, find that picture on their recording sheet, and stamp it! Students play until all their images are covered. When the cards are gone, they lay them back on face down again and can continue to play, hoping to get a card they haven't already had!

My kids loved this activity. I just wanted to tell you that they found the error - the elf picture that is on the color sheet is different from the elf picture on the BW sheet - one has dots on the hat and the other stripes! The recording page has dots also so when I used the colored versions, there isn't a match for the elf.
Thanks for this freebie!
