"Extra" Things You "Dew" Appreciation Gift

Every year I tell myself I want to do more to show my appreciation for the staff in our building that are always going above and beyond behind the scenes-- custodians, secretaries, volunteers, etc.

This year I promise to make it happen. I'm setting it as a school year goal for myself.

Tomorrow is our first official day back after the summer but I've already spent a week in my classroom unloading my car, shuffling things around, swapping out furniture, and filling up the hallway with items I no longer want.

If you think that sounds like a lot coming from me, just go ahead and multiply by that by say at least 20, because that's how many other people are asking the same things of our custodians right now and they're rock stars.

Seriously. They have been so helpful this week and I've been given zero grief for any furniture moving requests. I wanted to show them some extra appreciation beyond a simple "thank you" for all of their hard work!

I'm so happy with how this turned out. It couldn't be any better. We have 5 custodians in our building so this worked perfectly to fit 2 sodas and 2 packs of gum each.

I simply bought a 12 pack of soda and a pack of gum from Sams Club. Printed the sign and taped it on-- voila! I'm planning to drop this off to their office in the morning. I do want them to return the container when they're finished though-- haha, I'll probably want to use it the next time!
